Drive Belt Idler Pulley for Nissan & Infiniti Engines ⚙️

This belt guide pulley keeps the auxiliary drive belt running in the correct line and with stable contact on the engine accessories. It is needed to support smooth operation of the alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor and water pump system where fitted. A good pulley helps reduce belt noise, vibration and early belt wear.

How It Works ?

The pulley spins on a sealed bearing while the serpentine belt moves around it. Its job is not to power an accessory, but to guide the belt and hold the proper belt path. When the bearing is healthy, rotation is quiet, smooth and free from wobble. This gives the belt steady grip and correct tracking at idle, acceleration and high engine speed.

Signs of a Faulty Pulley ⚠️

If the pulley bearing wears out, you may hear squealing, grinding, chirping or rattling from the front of the engine. A damaged pulley can tilt, seize or create belt misalignment. If ignored, the belt may jump off or break, causing loss of charging, heavy steering, overheating risk and A/C failure. Replacing it in time protects the belt system and nearby components.
