Why this part is needed

How it works

When you press the pedal, hydraulic pressure moves the caliper pistons. The pads clamp the spinning rotor, converting motion into heat and slowing the vehicle. Quality friction material, shims, and chamfered edges keep braking smooth, quiet, and consistent even when hot.

What happens if pads are worn or damaged

Thin pads increase stopping distance, cause steering vibration, and can overheat the system. If the friction layer runs out, the metal backing plate contacts the rotor, creating grinding noise, deep rotor grooves, brake fade, and costly repairs. Warning signs: squeal, pulsation, longer pedal travel, or a pull to one side.
