Front Disc Brake Pad Kit for Toyota

Your front brakes do most of the stopping, especially in heavy SUVs and pickups. This pad kit is needed to restore strong, predictable braking, protect the brake discs, and keep pedal feel firm in daily driving or towing.

How it works

When you press the brake pedal, hydraulic pressure pushes the caliper pistons outward. The pads clamp both sides of the rotating disc (rotor),turning speed into heat through friction. A quality pad compound keeps friction stable across hot/cold conditions, while the backing plate and shims help reduce vibration and squeal .

Why replacing worn pads matters

Brake pads are a wear item. Fresh pads help shorten stopping distance and maintain even contact with the rotor, reducing the chance of steering shake and uneven braking.

If the pads are worn or damaged

  • Longer stopping distance and brake fade on hills
  • Squealing or grinding noises (metal-to-metal risk)
  • Rotor scoring, overheating, and costly disc replacement
  • Soft pedal feel and increased caliper piston travel

Tip from the workshop: always bed-in new pads, check rotor thickness/runout, and clean/lube slider pins for smooth, quiet braking βœ….

Compatibility

  • Fortuner
  • Hilux
