HVAC Radiator Flap Servo (No.3),OE 87106-30550 ️

This genuine-style actuator controls one of the internal air flaps in the climate unit. It directs airflow through the evaporator or heater core to keep cabin temperature stable and vents balanced. Designed for precise movement and quiet work, it restores factory comfort and correct blend-door positioning.

Why this part is needed

Without a healthy flap servo, the climate control can’t route air correctly. You may get cold air when you want heat, weak defogging, or air only from the wrong vents. Replacing the servo brings back accurate temperature mix and smooth mode changes.

How it works βš™οΈ

A 12V micro-motor drives reduction gears and a keyed shaft. A feedback sensor (potentiometer/Hall) reports the flap angle to the A/C amplifier. The ECU then trims position based on cabin temp, sunload, and your settings, keeping airflow optimized and quiet.

What happens if it’s broken

Typical signs: clicking or ticking behind the dash, stuck hot or cold, uneven vent temps, poor defrost, or mode not changing. The blower may run but comfort is off, and the system can log B14xx damper codes. Over time, worn gears can jam and drain the battery after key-off.

Install notes βœ…

Disconnect battery, mark lever position, swap unit, then run HVAC self-calibration (cycle ignition, set AUTO, change temp end-to-end). Use OEM-spec screws and avoid over-torque to protect the case and gears.
