OE-spec Radiator Cooling Fan Motor

This electric drive unit powers the radiator/condensor fan, pulling air through the fins to keep engine coolant and A/C system at the right temperature. It is built for daily traffic, hot climates, and long idling, delivering stable airflow when the vehicle is stationary or moving slowly.

Why you need it ❄️

A healthy cooling fan motor prevents overheating, keeps A/C cold at stoplights, stabilizes idle, and protects head gasket, radiator, and transmission cooler. It reduces thermal stress, improves fuel efficiency, and extends engine life.

How it works ⚙️

The ECU or fan relay energizes the motor based on coolant temperature and A/C pressure. The sealed bearings and balanced rotor spin the blade smoothly in the shroud, maximizing airflow across radiator and condenser. Many systems use 2-speed or PWM control for quiet, efficient cooling.

If it fails

Common signs: temperature climbs in traffic, A/C turns warm at idle, fan won’t start, blown fuse, or grinding noise. Driving with a dead motor risks coolant boil-over, warped head, cracked radiator tanks, and costly repairs.
