Corporation Daewoo Motor Corporation is a joint venture of the American company General Motors and Korean enterprise Shinjin Motor, which was formed in 1983. The first model put in the market became the car La Mans, the design of which was based on the Opel Kadett E. In 1995, a large-scale modernization of the lineup has been carried out, and the new car - Nexia was presented to the general public.

At present, the company is engaged not only in the production of cars outside of South Korea, but also the manufacturing of spare parts for Korean and American cars. Producing plants work in different countries, allowing to market Daewoo parts almost worldwide.
