    Premium Rocker Cover Seal for Mitsubishi Engines

    This high-precision rocker/valve cover gasket locks engine oil inside the top of the head and keeps dust out. It’s a must-have to stop annoying leaks, protect ignition parts, and maintain clean crankcase ventilation for stable idle and long engine life.

    Why this part is needed

    Without a healthy seal, warm oil seeps from the cover, drips onto the exhaust, and burns, causing smell, smoke, and mess. Oil can also enter spark plug wells or coil areas, leading to misfire and rough running.

    How it works

    A molded elastomer profile sits in the rocker cover groove. When torqued to spec, it compresses evenly, creating an oil-tight barrier that withstands heat, vibration, and pressure pulses. Correct sealing helps the PCV system hold proper vacuum and reduces sludge.

    What happens if it’s broken

    • Oil leaks along cylinder head and timing cover
    • Burning oil smell and smoke near firewall
    • Wet belts/alternator, possible squeal or charging issues
    • Misfire from oil-contaminated plug tubes or coils
    • Low oil level, increased wear, and messy engine bay

    Fitting tips ✅

    • Clean mating surfaces; no scratches
    • Use a pea-sized RTV dab at half-moons and sharp corners
    • Tighten in a crisscross pattern to factory torque
    • Inspect grommets and plug tube seals; replace if hardened
