    Valve Timing Chain Tensioner for Mitsubishi Engines ️

    This OE-spec tensioner keeps the cam timing accurate by holding the timing chain at the correct tension. It prevents slack, rattle, and jump under load.     Why you need it

    Correct chain tension means precise valve timing, smooth idle, strong torque, and clean emissions. A healthy tensioner protects the chain, guides, and sprockets, extending engine life and saving fuel.

    How it works

    The spring pushes the plunger against the chain guide. Engine oil feeds the body, damping movement and locking the ratchet step-by-step so the chain can’t slap or recoil. This keeps timing steady at cold start and high RPM.

    What happens if it fails ⚠️

    Expect cold-start rattle, rough idle, loss of power, and fault codes. Prolonged use can stretch the chain, wear guides, and let timing drift. In severe cases the chain may jump teeth—leading to no-start, misfire, or bent valves.
