Front Right Wheel Speed Sensor

This sensor is a key input for the ABS and stability control system. It constantly reads how fast the front right wheel is turning, so the car can brake safely and keep traction on wet roads ??. When you replace it on time, you restore accurate speed data and smooth, confident braking.

Why this part is needed

Modern braking systems need precise wheel speed signals to prevent wheel lock-up and reduce skidding. The sensor helps the ABS module compare all wheel speeds and react in milliseconds.

How it works

The sensor sits near the hub and “reads” a tone ring/encoder as it rotates. It converts rotation into an electrical signal that the ABS/ESC computer uses to control brake pressure and stability actions.

What happens if it’s broken

  • ABS/traction/stability warning lights may turn on ⚠️
  • ABS may stop working; wheels can lock during hard braking
  • Traction control may cut out, especially on slippery surfaces
  • Erratic speed readings or fault codes in diagnostics

Compatibility

  • Carnival 24 (2024-)
