Rear Leaf Spring Bushing for Nissan Vans

This rear suspension bushing is a small but critical part that sits in the rear spring eye/shackle area. Its main job is to isolate metal-to-metal contact and keep the leaf spring aligned while the axle moves over bumps. By absorbing vibration and allowing controlled flex, it helps your van stay stable, quiet, and predictable on the road .

Why this part is needed

Leaf springs carry heavy loads, and the spring ends pivot thousands of times. Without a healthy bushing, the suspension cannot move smoothly, and the spring hardware wears fast.

How it works

The bushing acts like a cushioned bearing. It supports the bolt, centers the spring eye, and lets the spring rotate slightly as the body and axle move. This reduces harshness, keeps ride height consistent, and protects the spring hanger and shackle from oval wear.

What happens if it’s broken

A worn bushing can cause clunks, wandering steering feel, uneven tire wear, and rear-end “skate” on rough roads. In severe cases, the spring eye can shift, stressing the shackle pins and brackets, leading to expensive suspension repairs ⚠️.
