Why you need it ?

The outer joint is the final link from the steering rack/center link to the knuckle. Over time its ball-and-socket wears, grease dries, and the boot can crack. Replacing the assembly removes play, fixes toe drift, and cures shimmy after bumps.

How it works ?

A hardened ball stud pivots inside a lubricated socket, allowing the wheel to turn while holding alignment. The threaded section mates to the inner tie rod for toe adjustment; the taper seats firmly in the steering knuckle. A sealed boot locks in grease and blocks water and dirt.
