Front Disc Brake Caliper Piston

Why this part is needed

This precision piston converts hydraulic pressure into clamping force on the rotor. It keeps stopping power strong, straight, and quiet. On Toyota executive models, a correct, smooth piston prevents brake fade, pad taper, and vibration during daily driving or high-speed stops.

How it works

Brake fluid pushes the piston forward inside the caliper bore, pressing the inner pad. A square-cut seal lets the piston move out, then elastically pulls it back a hair when you release the pedal, preventing drag. A hard‑chromed, corrosion-resistant surface protects the seal and keeps motion smooth under heat and dust ️.

What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️

- Car pulls to one side under braking - Long or soft pedal feel - Uneven or rapid pad wear - Overheated rotor, glazing, squeal - Fluid leaks, low level, warning light

Tech notes

- Always replace dust boot and seal - Clean bore; use brake fluid as assembly lube - Bleed system after install; replace in axle pairs for balance - Avoid petroleum grease on rubber parts
