Crankshaft Thrust Control Washer Kit ️

This precision washer set controls engine endplay by forming the low‑friction axial bearing faces for the crankshaft. It keeps the crank centered under clutch or torque‑converter loads, protecting the block, main journals, and timing drive. Heat‑treated, tri‑metal overlays provide long life, quiet running, and stable oil film at high temperature. OE‑grade fit means clean install with no machining.

Why you need it ✅

Correct axial clearance prevents pedal kickback, hard shifting, belt/pulley misalignment, and rear main seal leaks. Healthy thrust surfaces keep gear mesh true, reduce friction, and extend bearing and seal life.

How it works ⚙️

Semi‑circular washers sit on the thrust faces of the center main saddle and cap. Their overlay rides on engine oil, supporting forward/back thrust. Selected thickness sets endplay; install with assembly lube, align oil grooves, and verify clearance after torquing mains.

If worn or broken ❗

Excess endplay lets the crank “walk,” scuffing block webs and flywheel, upsetting crank sensor gaps, causing idle knock and metallic glitter in oil. Left unchecked, rods starve, the rear seal fails, and the engine can seize. Replace at first sign; measure with a dial indicator (typical target 0.05–0.25 mm) and recheck after warm‑up.
