Engine Intake Valve 1010A138

This intake valve feeds fresh air-fuel mix into the cylinder and seals the chamber on compression. It keeps power strong, fuel use low, and emissions clean. Made from heat‑resistant steel with a precision‑ground face, it holds tight against the valve seat and runs smoothly in the guide. Ideal as a direct-fit replacement for Mitsubishi engines that require OEM code 1010A138.

Why you need it ⚙️

A healthy intake valve gives proper breathing, steady idle, quick starts, and full torque. It protects the seat and piston from hot gases and supports perfect timing with the camshaft.

How it works

The cam lobe pushes the rocker to open the valve at the right moment. The spring closes it, sealing the 45° face to the seat. The stem moves in the guide with a new stem seal to keep oil out. Correct sealing maintains compression and clean combustion.

When it fails ❗

Signs include hard start, rough idle, misfire, low power, high fuel use, popping intake/backfire, and low compression. A burnt, bent, or sticking valve can damage the seat, foul the plug, overheat the cat, and even score the piston.

Fitment & tips ✅

Always inspect seat, guide, and spring. Replace stem seal, check clearance, and verify timing marks. Lap lightly if required; never over‑grind the face.
