Why you need it

How it works

A 12V motor spins a squirrel-cage fan. The shroud directs volume into ducts; the resistor or control module sets speed. Air passes the cabin filter, then the evaporator or heater core, and out to the vents.

When it fails

Weak or no airflow, only high speed working, squeal or vibration, burning smell, blown fuses, or intermittent starts. Expect foggy glass and poor A/C performance ⚠️.
