Essential Steering Connectivity Component

Why You Need This Part

This component is crucial for maintaining a direct and safe electronic connection between your steering wheel and vital systems such as the airbag, horn, and audio controls. Without it, these systems cannot function properly as the wiring inside allows signals to pass while the wheel turns.

How It Works

Hidden within your steering column, this assembly uses a flat ribbon cable wound in a spiral pattern. This design ensures continuous electrical contact, even when the steering wheel spins side-to-side. Its flexibility and strength prevent wire breakage, guaranteeing reliability in vital safety and comfort features.

Risks If Damaged

• Airbag warning light may illuminate
• Horn or steering wheel controls may stop working
• Risk of airbag not deploying in a crash
• Possible error codes in onboard diagnostics
