Why this part is needed

It transfers steering force evenly across the axle, holds toe settings, reduces play, and limits kickback from rough roads. Without it, the truck can’t track straight.

How it works

A forged bar with tapered ball-joint ends links the pitman and idler sides. As you turn the wheel, torque travels through this rod to move both wheels together. Greaseable joints maintain smooth motion and seal out grit.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Clunks, steering wander, uneven tire wear, shimmy at speed, or delayed response. In severe wear or breakage, steering control can be lost, risking damage to tie rods, idler arm, and tires.
