Front Right Brake Dust Shield Cover

This front RH dust cover sits behind the brake disc and caliper to protect your braking area from road spray, stones, sand, and salty slush . It is a small metal guard, but it plays a big role in keeping braking consistent and reducing premature wear.

Why this part is needed

Modern 4x4s often see mud, gravel, and water crossings. The shield blocks direct hits to the rotor surface and helps stop debris from packing around the pad edges. It also reduces water splash, helping the rotor dry faster after wet driving.

How it works

The cover bolts to the steering knuckle/hub area and forms a close barrier around the inner side of the disc. As the wheel rotates, it deflects dirt away from the rotor face and prevents small stones from getting trapped between disc and backing plate.

What happens if it’s broken

If bent or cracked, it may rub the disc and make a metallic scraping noise . A missing shield can lead to faster rotor rusting, uneven pad wear, and more frequent brake cleaning—especially on off-road vehicles.
