Why this part is needed

This relay safeguards and switches the DC‑DC converter that steps system voltage to a steady 12V. It feeds ECUs, lighting, fuel pump, ABS, infotainment, and charging to the auxiliary battery. With stable switching and surge protection, it keeps your electrical network clean, prevents backfeed, and ensures confident starts in cold or heat.

How it works

The ECU or ignition sends a signal to the relay coil. The coil magnet closes heavy‑duty contacts, routing power to the converter. When demand drops or a fault appears, it opens to isolate the circuit. Quality copper‑alloy contacts and arc suppression reduce heat and voltage spikes for long life.

What happens if it breaks ⚠️

Tech notes
