How it works

The crank or belt spins a balanced pulley that drives an impeller inside the housing. A sealed bearing supports the shaft, while a mechanical seal keeps coolant inside. The impeller circulates coolant from the radiator into the engine, then back out to shed heat efficiently. Proper flow protects gaskets, sensors, turbo (if equipped),and oil life.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Leaks at the weep hole, play in the pulley, or grinding noises mean trouble.
