Valve Cover Gasket Set for BMW 1 & 3 Series – Stop Oil Leaks, Protect the Engine ️

This gasket set seals the joint between the cylinder head and the top cover. It keeps engine oil inside the head, away from ignition coils and belts, and maintains clean crankcase ventilation. If you notice oil smell, wetness around the cover, or oil in spark plug wells, the seal is likely tired and needs replacement.

Why this part is needed

High engine heat and time harden the rubber. A fresh set restores a tight seal, stabilizes idle, prevents misfire, and reduces oil consumption and smoke.

How it works ⚙️

Heat-resistant elastomer rings sit in the cover grooves and compress evenly when bolts are torqued. Perimeter and plug-well seals block oil escape while allowing proper breathing through the PCV passages.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Oil leaks onto exhaust (burnt odor), into plug tubes (misfire, rough run), onto belts (slip), and can damage the catalytic converter. Long-term loss of oil risks engine wear.

Clean mating faces, avoid scratches, add a pea of RTV at sharp corners, fit new grommets, and torque in sequence. Includes perimeter seal and plug-well rings for a precise OEM-grade fit.
