Rear Suspension Assist Link for stable, safe driving

This rear link keeps the wheel in the correct path under load. It holds toe and camber steady, so the car tracks straight, grips better in corners, and rides quietly. You need it to protect tires, improve braking, and keep the rear axle geometry within spec. A healthy link means confident handling and less stress on other suspension parts.

How it works

The arm connects the rear knuckle to the subframe. Strong steel carries forces; bonded rubber bushings filter vibration; a joint end guides precise movement. Under acceleration, cornering, or bumps, the link controls lateral and longitudinal shift, preventing rear steer. Many setups use an eccentric bolt here for alignment correction after install.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Clunks on bumps, rear-end sway, steering “follow” on ruts, uneven or rapid tire wear, longer braking distances, ABS/ASC interventions, and failed alignment. Severe wear can bend other arms or crack bushings. Driving with play risks loss of stability, especially when loaded or on wet roads.

Technician tips ️

Replace in pairs, torque bushings at ride height, and perform a full four-wheel alignment. Inspect tires and rear shocks at the same time.
