This heavy-duty pulley keeps your engine smooth and your belts driving. It balances crankshaft vibration and turns the alternator, power steering, A/C, and water pump. Built with a precision steel hub and a bonded rubber damper, it delivers stable belt tracking and long life in tough heat and dust.
Why you need it
Diesel and gasoline engines create torsional pulses. This pulley absorbs those shocks, protects bearings and seals, and prevents belt slip. It keeps charging, cooling, and steering systems working under load.
How it works
Bolted to the crank nose, the inner hub and elastomer ring damp twist, while the outer ring drives multi-rib belts. Correct mass and rubber hardness cancel harmful frequencies and keep timing marks true.
When it fails ⚠️
Signs include wobble, chirp, burnt belt, hard steering, battery light, overheating, or vibration at idle. A slipped outer ring skews timing. Delamination can throw the belt—losing charging and cooling. Severe cases damage the keyway and front seal, causing leaks.
Fitting tips ✅
Clean the crank snout, align the key, use new bolt/washer, and torque to spec. Check runout, replace glazed belts, and verify accessory pulleys spin free. Never pry on the damper ring.
