Engine Cylinder Head Seal Gasket ️
This gasket sits between the cylinder head and the engine block to keep combustion pressure, coolant, and engine oil separated. It is needed because modern engines run with high heat and tight tolerances—without a strong seal, even a small leak can quickly turn into major engine damage.
How It Works
When the head bolts are torqued down, the gasket compresses and forms a precise barrier around the combustion chambers and fluid passages. It handles extreme temperature swings and pressure pulses, helping the engine maintain correct compression and stable cooling.
What Happens If It Fails ⚠️
A damaged gasket can cause coolant loss, overheating, rough running, misfires, white smoke, oil/coolant mixing (“milkshake” oil), and low compression. Continued driving may warp the cylinder head, damage bearings, or even crack the block—turning a repair into a full rebuild.
