    Front Suspension Helper for Subaru

    This small but vital elastomer insert supports the front MacPherson strut coil. It adds progressive resistance, keeps the spring preloaded, and filters road noise. By controlling the last part of suspension travel, it protects the strut, spring seats, and steering geometry, giving you a quiet and stable ride .

    Why you need it

    It reduces nose dive under braking, limits bottoming on potholes, and prevents coil-to-coil contact. The result is better steering feel, consistent ride height, and longer life for surrounding parts.

    How it works

    During light bumps, the spring does most of the work. As compression increases, the helper engages, adding a gentle step-up in spring rate. It also acts as an insulator, cutting clunks and squeaks from the coil.

    What happens if it’s broken

    • Clunking or squealing over bumps
    • Harsher ride, coil “slap,” or bottoming
    • Nose dive and vague steering at speed
    • Uneven tire wear and extra stress on the strut

    Replacement tips ️

    Install in pairs, verify spring orientation, and inspect the upper mount, bump stop, and dust boot. Torque fasteners with the car at ride height for best alignment.
