Engine Head Sealing Gasket ?
This engine sealing part sits between the cylinder block and cylinder head. Its job is to close the combustion chamber tightly, keep engine oil and coolant in separate passages, and hold strong compression during every power stroke. A good quality gasket is needed for stable engine temperature, clean lubrication, smooth starting, and proper diesel engine performance.
How It Works ⚙️
When the cylinder head is tightened to the block, the gasket is compressed between both metal surfaces. It seals high combustion pressure while allowing coolant and oil to flow only through their correct channels. This helps the engine run with correct compression, prevents fluid mixing, and protects the head, pistons, and valves from heat damage.
What Happens If It Fails ?
A damaged head gasket can cause overheating, white exhaust smoke, coolant loss, engine oil contamination, weak power, rough running, or hard starting. If ignored, it may lead to warped cylinder head, cracked block, bearing damage, and expensive engine repair. Replacement is strongly recommended whenever signs of leakage or compression loss appear.
