How it works ⚙️

A rugged microprocessor reads MAF/MAP, TPS, ECT, O2, CKP/CMP and more. It runs calibrated maps and closed-loop trims, then commands injectors, coils, purge valve, and VVT solenoids. Through CAN it talks to ABS/TC and transmission, managing torque and diagnostics for OBD‑II compliance.

When it fails ?

Symptoms include no‑start, rough idle, misfire, limp mode, poor fuel economy, and a check engine light (often P060x). A faulty unit can over-fuel, overheat the catalyst, fail emissions, or leave you stranded. Causes range from water ingress and vibration cracks to voltage spikes. Replacement or programming may be required to pair with immobilizer.

Fitment and setup ?️

Always disconnect the battery, verify connectors and part code, inspect grounds/fuses, and update software if specified. Plug-and-play on many trims; some markets require key coding.
