Why Is This Part Important

The central differential is a key part in vehicles with all-wheel drive systems. It splits engine torque between the front and rear axles, allowing wheels to turn at different speeds. How Does It Work

The assembly uses a set of gears and clutches to balance power between axles. When the car travels in a straight line, it sends equal force to both axles. When turning, it automatically adjusts and lets wheels rotate at different speeds, preventing wheel hop and reducing wear.

What Happens If It's Broken
