    How it works

    Press the pedal and the master cylinder sends fluid through the line. Inside this slave unit, a sealed piston moves forward and pushes the release fork and bearing, separating the pressure plate from the disc. Release the pedal and internal springs return the piston. Quality seals prevent leaks, and the bleeder screw lets you purge air for a firm, consistent bite ️.

    What happens if it’s broken

    Symptoms include a soft or sinking pedal, hard gear engagement, grinding into reverse, clutch drag at lights, or visible fluid leaks. Air or worn seals reduce stroke, causing partial disengagement that wears synchros and overheats the clutch. Ignore it and you may lose pedal pressure entirely and get stranded.
