This component is essential for keeping the right fuel pressure in a multi-point injection (MPI) engine. It balances fuel supply so injectors receive a steady, correct pressure under idle, cruising, and acceleration. Without stable pressure, even a healthy engine can run poorly.
How It Works
Inside the regulator, a spring and diaphragm control a valve that bleeds excess fuel back to the return line. As engine load changes, the regulator reacts quickly to keep pressure consistent at the fuel rail. This helps the ECU deliver accurate injector pulse fueling, improving throttle response and keeping emissions under control.
