Oil Pump Drive Shaft for Mitsubishi Engines ️
This hardened steel link drives the engine’s oil pump from the crank, keeping oil pressure stable so bearings, cam journals, and chain guides get clean lubrication. Built to precise OEM geometry, it resists twist, scoring, and wear for long service life.
Why this part is needed ❤️
Without a reliable drive connection, the pump cannot turn. This shaft transmits torque to the pump rotor, maintaining pressure at idle and high RPM, protecting internal parts during cold starts and spirited driving.
How it works ️
One end is keyed or splined to the pump gear; the other is driven by the timing/crank gear. As the crank rotates, the shaft delivers smooth, centered rotation to the pump, ensuring steady flow and pressure. Correct length, hardness, and surface finish keep alignment true and drag low.
