How it works

The set seals the pump body halves, pressure and suction ports, and the drive shaft. Proper sealing maintains inlet vacuum and outlet pressure, feeds the rotor and vanes with oil, prevents cavitation, and keeps assist strong for the rack‑and‑pinion.

What happens if seals are bad ⚠️

Leaks grow, assist drops, and the wheel may pulse. Running low burns the pump, sheds metal, and can damage the rack. Ignored long enough, the pump can seize and snap the belt.

Install tips ️

Work clean, match each seal by size, lube with fresh PSF, press the shaft seal square, and torque covers evenly. Flush lines and reservoir, then bleed by turning lock‑to‑lock with engine on. Inspect belt and hoses; replace if cracked.
