    How it works

    Inside the housing, sliding contacts and detents connect specific terminals when you move the stalk. The mechanism holds the selected position, and the signal function returns after a turn (depending on vehicle setup), keeping operation predictable and consistent.

    What happens when it’s broken

    A worn or damaged unit may cause indicators not to flash, flash randomly, or stick on. You may also see intermittent headlights, no high/low beam response, or lights that cut out over bumps. In worst cases, heat from poor contact can melt connectors and create shorts. ⚠️
