Upper Windshield Outer Trim Seal
This top-edge windshield moulding closes the gap between the glass and roof panel, keeping water, dust, and wind out while giving a clean factory look. Made from UV-stable elastomer with a precise profile, it preserves the windshield bond and protects the pinch weld on your Toyota SUV.
Why this part is needed
It prevents leaks and wind whistle, shields the urethane adhesive from sun damage, and stops corrosion at the body seam. After glass replacement, fresh trim is essential for proper sealing and quiet ride quality.
How it works
The moulding locks into the body channel via clips/adhesive track, its soft lip riding on the glass to deflect water toward the A-pillars. The compound resists heat, ozone, and car-wash spray, maintaining shape through temperature swings.
What happens if it’s broken
Gaps cause water intrusion, wind roar, and trim flutter. UV can attack the exposed urethane, risking a loose bond. Moisture may stain the headliner and start rust at the roof edge; lifted trim can scratch paint at speed.
