A/C Compressor Drive Belt (ND Type) ?
This belt is a key part of the air conditioning drive system. It links the engine pulley to the A/C compressor pulley, so the compressor can pump refrigerant and keep the cabin cool. Without a healthy belt, the compressor cannot spin at the correct speed, and cooling performance drops fast.
Why this belt is needed ✅
The engine produces rotation, but the A/C compressor needs that rotation transferred smoothly. This belt provides the grip and tension needed to drive the compressor under load, even during hot weather, stop-and-go traffic, and high RPM use.
How it works ⚙️
When the engine runs, the crank pulley turns the belt. The belt wraps around the compressor pulley and transfers torque through friction. Correct tension keeps it from slipping, squealing, or overheating.
If the belt is worn or broken ❌
You may notice squeal noises, weak or no A/C, burning rubber smell, belt dust, or sudden loss of cooling. If it snaps, the compressor stops instantly and can leave you without defrost support in humid weather. A loose belt can also damage pulleys and bearings over time.
