Rear Spring Lower Insulator Rubber – Quiet, Protected, Precise

Why you need it

This rubber seat supports the bottom of the rear coil spring. It isolates road vibration, prevents metal‑to‑metal contact, and keeps the spring aligned on the beam or arm. By cushioning every bump, it reduces cabin noise, protects paint on the spring and perch, and helps maintain correct ride height and handling. It’s a small part with a big effect on comfort and safety.

How it works ️

Molded from dense EPDM, the insulator has locator ribs that center the coil and spread load evenly across the perch. It absorbs micro‑movement between the spring and seat, blocks corrosion from trapped grit, and stops squeaks and knocks. Proper fit ensures the coil end indexes in the molded groove for consistent suspension geometry.

What happens if it’s broken ❗

Expect clunks over bumps, squeaks, harsher ride, and uneven tire wear. The spring can rotate or dig into the perch, causing chipped paint, rust, and possible spring tilt or height drop on one side. Prolonged use may deform the spring seat. Replace in pairs and clean the perch; check the upper insulator and bump stop for best results.
