Informations
Rear Hydraulic Brake Hose — OEM‑fit Replacement
Why this part is needed
This flexible line links the body hard line to the rear axle brake circuit. It handles suspension travel and high fluid pressure, keeping pedal feel firm and stopping distances short. Off‑road use, heat, and age harden rubber; a fresh hose restores safe, predictable braking.
How it works
Press the pedal and the master cylinder sends brake fluid through hard lines into this hose. The inner tube carries fluid, a reinforced layer prevents ballooning, and crimped steel ends seal to factory fittings. The hose flexes with axle movement so calipers/wheel cylinders receive steady pressure ️.
What happens if it’s broken
Cracks or leaks cause a soft pedal, longer stops, and wet spots near the rear crossmember. Internal swelling can act like a one‑way valve, making brakes drag or pull. A burst line can drop hydraulic pressure and severely reduce braking—do not drive if fluid loss is present ⚠️.
Tech notes
Direct‑fit geometry and threads. Replace copper washers as needed, torque to spec, and bleed the rear circuit with fresh DOT 3/4. Inspect rear hard lines and clips; secure routing away from exhaust and moving parts ✅.
