Front Stabilizer Link (Sway Bar Link) for Mitsubishi

The front stabilizer link is a jointed rod that connects the anti‑roll bar to the strut or control arm. Its job is to keep the car flatter in turns, improve steering feel, and help the tires stay firmly on the road. This is a small part with a big effect on safety and comfort in Mitsubishi front suspension systems.

Why this part is needed

It reduces body roll in corners, keeps both wheels working together, cuts understeer, and stabilizes the car on uneven roads. With a healthy link, the chassis feels tighter, the steering is more precise, and cabin motion is reduced.

How it works ⚙️

When the vehicle corners, the anti‑roll bar twists. The link’s ball joints transfer that twist into the suspension arm or strut, sharing load across left and right wheels. A hardened steel shaft, bushings, and sealed boots let it pivot smoothly while blocking dirt and water .

What happens if it’s broken ❗

Clunks over bumps, loose or delayed steering, extra body roll, and uneven tire wear may appear. In hard maneuvers, stability drops and stopping in a curve can feel unpredictable. If a joint seizes or the rod snaps, the bar can swing and hit nearby parts—serious safety risk. Replace in pairs, torque with the car on its wheels, and recheck fasteners after a short drive ️.
