Why you need this part ️

This inner drive shaft oil seal keeps gear oil inside the differential or axle tube and stops mud, dust, and water from entering. It protects the CV/prop shaft splines and bearings, maintaining smooth torque delivery and long drivetrain life. A tight seal also preserves correct lubricant level, preventing costly wear.

How it works ⚙️

The seal sits in the axle housing where the shaft passes through. A metal-cased body holds a precision rubber lip with a garter spring. As the shaft rotates, the lip hugs the journal and creates a controlled barrier, retaining oil while allowing rotation. Heat- and oil-resistant rubber ensures stable sealing under load, off-road angles, and temperature swings.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Leaks (wet housing, oil on brakes), humming bearings, CV wear, and diff whine appear. Low oil leads to overheating, metal shavings, and possible differential seizure. Dirt ingress accelerates rust and seal groove scoring.

Build & fitment notes

OEM-style dimensions for a snug press fit. Use light oil on the lip, clean the shaft, and drive in square with a seal driver. Inspect vent and replace axle oil after install.
