Electronic Throttle Body Assembly for Hyundai & Kia ?✨
This throttle body assembly is a key air-control unit mounted between the intake duct and the intake manifold. It is needed to manage how much air enters the engine, so the ECU can keep the correct air/fuel mix for smooth idle, strong acceleration, and stable fuel economy.
How it works ⚙️
When you press the accelerator, an electric motor inside the housing opens the throttle plate. Built-in position sensors report the exact angle back to the ECU. The ECU constantly adjusts the opening to control RPM, cold starts, A/C load compensation, and cruise-like steady driving.
Signs of a faulty unit ❗
If it gets dirty, sticks, or the motor/sensors fail, you may notice rough idle, hesitation, weak response, stalling at stops, high RPM, or a check engine light. Many cars will enter limp mode to protect the engine. Driving with a failing throttle body can increase fuel use and cause unsafe power drops.
Why replacement matters ?
A healthy throttle body restores proper airflow control and predictable pedal response, helping the engine run cleaner and smoother. After installation, a throttle/idle relearn may be required depending on the ECU strategy.
