This integral part of a vehicle's transmission system acts as a housing for the clutch assembly and ensures smooth power transition from the engine to the drivetrain.

    Role of the Clutch Cover Assembly

    The Clutch Cover, also known as a pressure plate, serves two main functions. Firstly, it holds the clutch disc against the flywheel, enabling the engine’s torque to be transmitted to the transmission. Secondly, it disengages the drive to allow for smooth gear changes. This is achieved by a diaphragm spring or a series of coil springs within the cover that exert and release pressure on the clutch disc.
