    This precision steel gear mounts on the crank nose and drives the timing belt, keeping pistons and valves in perfect sync.     Why you need it ✅

    Age, rust, or belt wear can round teeth or loosen the keyway. That leads to belt slip, noisy operation, and drifting ignition timing. Replacing the worn gear restores accurate valve timing and prevents costly damage.

    How it works

    The crank turns this toothed gear, which moves the timing belt and spins the camshafts at a 2:1 ratio. Proper alignment of timing marks and a snug fit on the crank key keep the engine synchronized under load.

    If it fails ⚠️

    Expect rough idle, loss of power, misfire, no-start, or check engine lamp. Severe slip can bend valves on interference engines. Metal dust near the belt area and P0335-type sensor errors may appear.
