How it works ⚙️

The switch is screwed into an oil gallery on the engine block. Inside, a diaphragm reacts to oil pressure. When pressure is below the set point, it closes the circuit and turns the oil lamp on. When pressure builds after start-up, it opens the circuit and the light goes off. Simple design, fast response.

What happens if it’s broken
