This precision-formed coolant bypass tube keeps your engine’s temperature stable in all conditions. Why this part is needed ❄️♨️
Without a healthy bypass path, coolant stagnates before the thermostat opens. The tube maintains circulation during warm-up, improves heater performance, balances pump pressure, and protects the head and gasket from thermal stress.
How it works
It links the water pump to the block/thermostat gallery, creating a small internal loop. When the thermostat is closed, coolant flows through this tube; when open, it still equalizes pressure to prevent cavitation and surging. Corrosion-resistant construction and OE bends ensure long life and proper clearance to belts and brackets.
If it’s damaged ⚠️
Cracks or rust pinholes cause coolant smell, damp hoses, and puddles. Expect slow warm-up, weak cabin heat, rising temps at idle or highway, and in severe cases overheating, warped head, or a blown gasket.
Fitting tips
Use new hoses/clamps, clean sealing faces, torque brackets evenly, pressure-test to 15 psi, then refill 50/50 premix and bleed air.
