    Engine Coolant Thermostat Kit for Mitsubishi 4x4 and pickups

    This thermostat assembly keeps your Mitsubishi engine in the safe temperature zone. It speeds warm‑up, stabilizes operating heat, improves fuel economy, and protects the head gasket. A healthy cooling system means strong heater output in winter and steady power in summer.

    How it works ❄️

    Inside the unit sits a wax‑pellet actuator and spring. When the engine is cold, the valve stays shut, routing coolant through the bypass for quick warm‑up. As temperature rises, the wax expands and the valve opens progressively, sending coolant to the radiator. The included seal/O‑ring locks the housing tight to prevent leaks and air pockets.

    Why you need it

    Correct temperature control reduces engine wear, keeps oil at the right viscosity, and ensures ECU fuel trims stay accurate. It’s a critical replacement whenever overheating, slow warm‑up, or coolant seepage appears.

    If the part is faulty

    Stuck closed: rapid overheating, boiling coolant, warped head risk. Stuck open: long warm‑up, weak cabin heat, rich mixture, higher fuel use, carbon buildup. Leaking gasket: coolant loss, air in system, temperature swings.
