High-Precision Conrod Bearing Shells for Hard-Working Engines

This small but critical part keeps the connecting rod and crank pin separated by a stable oil film. Built with tri‑metal layers and precision-ground to OE clearances, it cuts friction, carries heavy combustion loads, and stabilizes oil pressure during towing, off‑road, and daily driving.

Install during overhaul, after overheating, or when oil shows metal particles. Fresh shells restore proper clearance, protect crank journals, quiet knocks, and help prevent bearing spin. They’re essential for longevity and smooth, quiet power.

How it works ⚙️

Two half-shells seat in the rod big-end with a light crush fit that locks them in place. Pressurized oil feeds through grooves to create a hydrodynamic wedge, letting the rod glide on the crankpin at speed. The soft overlay guards the surface at cold start and against brief oil-starve moments.

What happens if it fails

Expect low oil pressure, start-up rattle, rod knock under load, metal glitter in oil, and rising temps. Ignoring it can score the crank, spin a bearing, seize the rod, or even ventilate the block—leading to a full engine replacement.
