Rocker/Valve Cover Gasket – OE-fit seal for Mitsubishi engines
This high-temp gasket sits between the cylinder head and the rocker (valve) cover. Its job is simple but vital: keep engine oil inside the top end and keep dust and moisture out. A fresh seal stops oil mist from escaping, protects ignition parts, and keeps the bay clean for reliable everyday driving.
Why you need it
Heat cycles, vibrations, and aging harden the rubber. Once it shrinks or cracks, oil leaks appear around the cover edge or spark plug tubes. Replacing the gasket restores factory sealing and prevents costly side effects.
How it works ⚙️
The molded rubber profile compresses under the cover bolts, sealing the perimeter and plug wells. It resists high temperature and oil, maintaining crankcase ventilation efficiency and stable valve train lubrication.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
Expect oil smell, wet edges, drips on the exhaust, misfires from oil in plug wells, low oil level, belt softening, and possible smoke. Left ignored, it can damage coils and create a fire risk.

Clean both mating surfaces, use small RTV dabs at cam cap joints, replace grommets/tube seals, check PCV, and torque evenly—do not over-tighten.
