Front Counter Gear Roller Bearing for Toyota Gearbox ⚙️

This precision roller bearing is fitted at the front side of the counter gear inside the transmission. It is needed to support the gear shaft under heavy load, keep perfect alignment, and reduce friction so the gearbox runs smooth and quiet. In work vans and buses, this bearing takes constant torque and heat, so correct support is critical for long service life.

How It Works ?

Rollers spin between hardened races, carrying radial load while allowing the counter gear to rotate freely. By keeping the shaft centered, it maintains correct gear mesh, protects synchros, and helps the oil film stay stable even at high RPM. A good bearing also prevents vibration that can damage nearby gears and seals.

When It’s Worn or Broken ?

Common signs are humming/whining that changes with speed, rough shifting, metal particles in oil, and gearbox heat. If ignored, the counter gear can tilt, causing rapid gear tooth wear, chipped gears, seal leaks, and in worst cases a seized transmission or total gearbox failure.
