Why you need it

Without a reliable controller, the A/C can hunt for temperature, cycle too often, or stop cooling in traffic. This module reduces electrical noise, protects circuits from spikes, and keeps evaporator temperature in the safe zone to prevent icing.

How it works

It reads the evaporator thermistor, cabin and ambient sensors, A/C switch, and ECU signals. Then it outputs clean, regulated commands to the magnetic clutch and blower control, using solid‑state circuitry and a heat sink for thermal stability. Built‑in safeguards prevent overcurrent and low‑voltage faults.

When faulty ⚠️

Warm air at idle, short cycling, no clutch engagement, icing evaporator, flickering A/C lamp, blown fuses, battery drain, or HVAC DTCs (B14xx). Ignoring it can damage the compressor and raise fuel use.

Tech tip ✅

Located behind the glove box on the HVAC case. Check grounds and connectors, verify 12–14 V supply, and match pinout before replacement.
