AC Air Mixing Damper Servo Assembly (Radiator Side) ❄️

This HVAC servo is a small electric actuator that controls an internal air damper inside the heater/air conditioner case. It’s needed to properly direct airflow across the evaporator/heater core area so your cabin gets the temperature you select, fast and steady.

How It Works ?

When you change temperature or mode, the climate control sends a signal to the servo motor. The motor turns a geared shaft, moving the damper door in precise steps. This balances cold and warm air, stabilizes vent temperature, and helps the system avoid constant hot/cold swings.

Signs of Failure & What Happens If It Breaks ⚠️

If the servo strips gears, sticks, or loses position feedback, the damper may stop in the wrong place. You can get air that stays hot or stays cold, uneven temperatures left-to-right, weak defrost performance, or clicking/ticking from the dash. A failed unit can also confuse calibration, causing repeated cycling and poor comfort in traffic or extreme weather.
